Privacy statement

Short, because this website does very little. Last updated 8 September 2026.

Who is responsible

LumosTech B.V., Tilburg, Netherlands, trading as JeeBoard, is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@lumostech.nl. We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one; the address above reaches the person responsible.

What this site collects

Nothing at all unless you send us something. There is no analytics package on this site, no advertising or marketing pixel, no embedded third-party fonts or scripts, and no tracking cookie. Every asset is served from our own domain.

When you submit the contact form we receive:

  • Your name and e-mail address, which are required so that we can reply.
  • Optionally your organisation, role and telephone number, if you choose to give them.
  • The topic and screen-count selections, and the message you write.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, used only for rate limiting. The address itself is not stored.
  • Your browser's user-agent string, for diagnosing submission failures.

Why, and on what basis

We process what you send in order to answer you, and to keep a record of the enquiry if it becomes a project. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in responding to business enquiries addressed to us, and — where an enquiry becomes a quotation or a contract — the steps prior to entering a contract under Article 6(1)(b).

We do not use your details for marketing. There is no newsletter to be added to, and we do not sell, rent or share contact data with anyone.

Where it goes

Submissions are written to a log file on the web server, sent to our own mailbox, and — if we have connected one — recorded in our internal customer notes system so that an enquiry is not lost between people. Where that system is operated by a third party, it acts as a processor under a data processing agreement, and we choose providers who process within the EU or under an adequate transfer mechanism.

Our website and mail are hosted by our hosting provider, which processes data on our instructions as a processor. Server access logs may contain IP addresses; these are retained by the host for a short period for security and are not used by us for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead anywhere: deleted after 24 months.
  • Enquiries that become a project: kept for the life of the relationship and then for the statutory retention period applicable to the associated records.
  • Rate-limiting hashes: rotated within the same monthly log file and not retained separately.

Your rights

You may ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, and for it to be corrected, erased or restricted; you may object to processing based on legitimate interest, and you may ask for your data in a portable form. Write to info@lumostech.nl and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the authority in your country of residence.

A note about the systems we build

This statement covers this website only. When we deploy an industrial signage system for a customer, that customer is the controller for whatever data the system displays and we act as a processor under a separate agreement. Our industrial boards are designed to need no cameras, no badge triggers and no personal identifiers, and default to team-level aggregation rather than individual metrics.

Changes

If this statement changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. We do not maintain a version archive for a document this short; if you need to evidence the wording on a particular date, keep a copy.
